Dear Families,
When I was in 3rd grade, I was certain I was going to be the President of the United States. I even had a platform based on giving everyone $100 and a house. When I graduated high school, I was definitely going to be a doctor. College-level Biology and Chemistry changed that pretty quickly. From there I moved through a few other career ideas including a psychologist and editor. Thankfully, I found my calling in my junior year of college and became an educator. 20 years later, I know I chose the right career path. Although there's still time to be President...
For our students, it is important for them to know the opportunities that are available to them when making decisions about their future. We believe it is crucial to introduce students to a variety of careers so that are exposed to ideas outside of their life experiences. This is why Career Day at 75 Morton is so important. We hope to spark student interest in future fields of work and develop mentorships and possible future internships. We still need volunteers to be guest speakers for this event on Thursday, May 19th. If you are interested, please fill out this form. If you have questions, you can contact Valerie@75morton.org.
Please join us to inspire our students!
