My name is Claudia Rivera-WisdomCofie and I am from San Francisco, California. I moved to New York City in 2001. I taught for 17 years as a bilingual middle school teacher of English Language Arts (ELA) and Native Language Arts (NLA). Later on I became a literacy coach. I transitioned to administration first as an Assistant Principal for five years and then, as Principal for two years in the Bronx. I am a strong advocate of ensuring that every child receives the best education and has the necessary tools to succeed in life. Some of my hobbies are dancing salsa, running, and spending quality time with my loved ones.

ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
Greetings all! I am pleased to be able to return to 75 Morton as a full time Assistant Principal for this year. I am beginning my 15th year as an Assistant Principal with diverse experience in elementary, middle and high schools. I have many years experience as a special educator and firmly believe that all students have strengths and unique qualities that they can contribute to their learning. I look forward to working with Principal Cofie and our dynamic 75 Morton staff to provide a warm welcoming learning environment for all our students. I am a proud Brooklynite and NYC Schools alumnae. I am a firm believer in partaking in the diversity of all of NYC's cultural offerings and enjoy visiting museums, walking around neighborhoods and sampling all the delicious foods from all over the world.

Theresa Soto
Assistant Principal
I’m Theresa Soto, an educator who loves to learn. I grew up in Cleveland and am a graduate from The Ohio State University, Long Island University and The College of Saint Rose. Brooklyn was my home from 2003 until 2020, when I moved to New Jersey. Since 2008, I’ve worked in the NYC Department of Education as both a special education and English teacher at the middle school level. I believe middle school is a powerful time—not just for academic growth, but for helping students figure out who they are as people. My work is guided by curiosity, care, and the belief that learning is a lifelong process that shapes both our minds and our humanity. When I am not at school, you can find me reading, knitting, or trying out a new recipe.
